Kyiv: Parkovyi Data Center Fully Stops After Russian Attacks

Critical Damage: Russian Attacks Halt Operations at Major Kyiv Data Center

Kyiv, October 1, 2026. The major Kyiv-based data center “Parkovyi” has completely ceased operations due to critical damage caused by Russian strikes. Restoring services at the damaged site is impossible, company representatives said.

A series of strikes by the Russian Federation caused destruction that makes further operation of the facility impossible. Fortunately, the data center staff were not injured, which the company says is a priority. Customer data stored at the damaged site has been deployed to backup locations in the European Union.

“Parkovyi” is one of the key players in Ukraine’s data center market. It was the only commercial facility in Ukraine to hold an international TIER III certificate from the Uptime Institute, which meets the TIA 942 standard. This standard guarantees uninterrupted operation of IT infrastructure even during prolonged power outages.

Targeted Attacks on Ukraine’s Digital Infrastructure

Recently, Russian attacks on data centers and telecommunications facilities across Ukraine have intensified, causing internet disruptions. Damage to facilities such as “Parkovyi” has a significant impact on a large number of users, as data centers provide computing power and data storage for numerous websites, corporate systems, and online services.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi has emphasized the ongoing threat of losing internet access due to Russia’s targeted attacks on digital and communications infrastructure. The Ukrainian government is preparing for worst-case scenarios related to possible further strikes on critical facilities.
