Andrii Skrypnyk: former Promova CEO becomes cofounder of AI startup Portal

Andrii Skrypnyk leaves Promova and becomes cofounder of AI startup Portal

Former CEO and cofounder of the educational platform Promova, Andrii Skrypnyk, has joined the team of AI startup Portal as a cofounder. This was reported by AIN.ua. Portal, founded by Volodymyr Panchenko, former owner of DMarket, has gone through several pivots, evolving from a marketing tool into a social network and, ultimately, a personal AI assistant.

Skrypnyk officially left Promova in October 2026, returning the platform to its founders, Boosters. The decision to step down was made at the end of August, in line with the principle of making quick personnel decisions.

Portal’s evolution: from marketing to a personal AI assistant

Portal was launched by Volodymyr Panchenko in June 2024. At first, the company focused on developing AI solutions for marketing automation. However, in January 2025, the first pivot took place: the product was transformed into a social network where AI generated videos at users’ request.

The next major step came in February 2026, when Portal released its personal AI assistant, Portal One. This tool can manage email and calendars, search for and compare offers, and remember user context. In the first 49 days after launch, Portal One attracted 3,246 users, and annual recurring revenue (ARR) reached $4 million.

A new stage of cooperation and the future of Portal

Andrii Skrypnyk learned about Portal from Volodymyr Panchenko through mutual acquaintances, including KYG CEO Oleksii Malytskyi, to whom he gave his book, “25 Principles of the Playa,” written with the help of Portal. Shared values and a common vision for the development of AI products led to a cooperation offer.

“I also had the idea for such an AI product,” Skrypnyk says. “At the beginning of this year, I already understood that personal AI assistants would become an important direction. That was also when Portal released its personal assistant.” Skrypnyk had considered developing a similar R&D project at Promova, but due to a lack of resources, the idea was put on hold.

Portal continues to develop both the personal AI assistant Portal One and the AI operator Midos, which writes and improves software for other companies. In addition, the startup is actively building a full-fledged social network that is meant to become a space for communication, sharing information, and exchanging experience.

Overall, Portal has raised about $15 million in investment and continues to seek additional funding. The project team consists of three full-time employees and one more person responsible for internal processes.
