Chinese robotics giant RealMan Robotics is opening a new era of practical robot deployment, planning to roll out around one thousand of its advanced RealBOT robots throughout the current year. This ambitious move signals a shift from demo stands to real production and service tasks, where robots can become full-fledged members of the workforce.

### Robots in the service of the real world

At the recent World Robot Conference (WRC), the company clearly demonstrated the versatility of its machines. RealBOT robots were shown in a variety of scenarios: from carefully handling medicines in pharmacies to inspecting critical power grids, helping in the kitchen with the preparation of gourmet dishes, and remotely configuring complex industrial equipment. The key element enabling this functionality is RealMan’s Global Link Network (GLN). This innovative system allows operators to efficiently control robots from a distance while collecting valuable data on real operational processes.

This demonstration comes against the backdrop of growing interest in autonomous robotic systems worldwide. Recently, Figure AI successfully completed a 200-hour test of its Figure 03 robots, which flawlessly handled nearly 250,000 packages without a single hardware failure. RealMan, in turn, aims to prove that its robotic solutions not only look impressive at exhibitions, but are also capable of effectively carrying out complex tasks in real-world conditions.

At WRC, RealMan demonstrated how robotic arms can restock medicines in “smart” medicine cabinets, conduct thorough inspections of distribution panels, and collaborate with human chefs while preparing baked goods. Particularly interesting was the example of remote control at the company’s factory, where AI-powered autonomous robotic systems are already operating successfully. This shows the company’s commitment to integrating robots into complex production chains.

### An innovative remote control network and improved interaction

The main goal of these demonstrations is to show how robots can function in unpredictable and dynamic real-world conditions that differ significantly from sterile laboratory environments. At the heart of this concept is RealMan’s GLN remote control network. The system provides extremely low signal latency, which, according to the developers, is about one millisecond even over thousands of kilometers.

Such a technological capability opens the door to delivering highly specialized services using robotic systems at a distance. Each remote control action generates detailed data about interactions in the real environment. This information, covering perception, logic, and decision-making, is extremely valuable for training and improving robots’ skills, allowing them to become more adaptive and effective in performing a wide range of tasks.

In addition to technological innovation, RealMan also received the prestigious CR L3 certificate from the Shanghai Robotics Research Institute. This confirms the high quality and reliability of its developments. The company says its lightweight humanoid robotic manipulators have already achieved an impressive mean time between failures of 50,000 hours.

Further improvements to robot capabilities are being achieved through cooperation with PaXini, a company specializing in tactile sensors. As part of the demonstration activities, the seven-joint RealMan RM75 robotic arm was equipped with a multidimensional force sensor and highly sensitive tactile sensors. In addition, the arm received a six-axis force sensor and torque sensors. These upgrades will allow robots to interact more delicately with objects and grasp and move items with greater precision.

For example, in industrial facilities, such capabilities can significantly reduce the number of unwanted collisions, improve assembly quality, and minimize production failures. They will also help improve the safety of interactions both between robots and objects and for people working nearby. RealMan’s plans to deploy 1,000 RealBOT robots in real-world conditions via the GLN network open new horizons for automation and the optimization of production processes.
